The numbers do the thinking.

Most trackers add up calories and stop there. Macro Marmot reads your results: it sees past water-weight noise, learns what you actually burn, and carries a day's slack or overage into tomorrow.

It sees through water weight.

Your scale jumps a few pounds on water, salt, and last night's dinner. Macro Marmot smooths every weigh-in into a trend line (an exponential moving average), so a watery morning barely moves it and a real change pulls it along. Every rate it reports is read off the smooth line, not the noisy one.

It learns what you actually burn.

Formulas guess your maintenance from height and weight. Macro Marmot measures it from what really happened: your average intake against how your trend weight moved. Whatever the formula says, the scale reveals the truth. You see "based on your results," never "your metabolism is X."

Macro Marmot measured maintenance: a kcal-per-day figure read from the scale and food log, shown against the formula estimate

It tells you when you'll get there.

Run those measured numbers forward. At your current intake against your real maintenance, Macro Marmot projects your rate and the date you'd hit your goal weight. It re-checks every time you open it, so the estimate stays honest as maintenance drifts down with you.

A good day banks. A big day carries.

Come in under your target and the slack banks into tomorrow's ceiling. Go over and the overage carries as debt that burns off as you get back on track. A max-deficit floor keeps a hungry day from dropping too low, and a cap stops you hoarding a week of splurges. It works off a simple calorie goal, or off your measured maintenance.
